Rory's pages were written by Kensho Ohnuki. He wrote many articles about Rory in early 70's.
He wrote about Rory's first Japan tour (1974) in this mook.
Generally the stage of blues-rock band -- Cream, Fleetwood Mac or Allman Brothers Band -- is not showy at all. Rory's show was not also different from them, even lighting was really normal. However, there was one point that he was different from other bands in crucially. It was his movement. Anyway he moved well. His body moved very naturally. Checkered shirt and jeans and sneakers. With a rough style same as the present youths, he was running around the stage from left to right, and he used the whole body and unifies it with a guitar and expressed oneself. His foot seemed to slip sometimes on the stage, but he didn't care it. His favorite battered stratocaster seems to be his other self. Sometimes it cried intensely, and sometimes it whispered gently. This young hot-blooded man who loved the blues and playing the blues from heart, let hot blood be in an uproar at a heart of all fans.(2007.3.8)
At the end of the show, he looked at the audience with his eyes dazzling a little, and he strongly stick out with his thumb just like to say "Thank you!", and he left the stage. I'll never forget.
